Potential Postdocs
If you are a potential postdoctoral scholar doing research in the life sciences, you may apply for fellowships at the UCSC Institute for the Biology of Stem Cells (IBSC). IBSC administers the following postdoctoral training programs:
- The Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Award (IRACDA) supports career development for postdocs who aim to apply for academic jobs.
- The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) Training Program supports postdocs who conduct stem cell research and provides career development training in the field of stem cell biology.
- The T32 Postdoctoral Training Program supports postdoctoral scholars pursuing careers in stem cell biology and biomedical research, with a heavy focus on research. T32 postdocs receive salary contributions, healthcare contributions, childcare contributions, and scientific travel stipends.
Incoming postdocs to UC Santa Cruz may not have had five or more years of postdoctoral experience at other institutions.
