Graduate Division Outstanding Postdoctoral Scholar Award
UC Santa Cruz strives to promote postdoctoral scholars that embody the mission and high standards of this university. Postdoctoral scholars are individuals who have recently completed a doctoral degree and, under the oversight of a faculty mentor, continue training in preparation for a career in academia, industry, government, or the private sector.
UC Santa Cruz Postdoc Association (USPA) Travel Award
The Postdoctoral Conference Travel Award provides conference travel funds for postdocs in these departments in the Division of Physical & Biological Sciences at UC Santa Cruz.
Graduate Division Distinguished Faculty Mentor
In recognition of the vital role that mentors of postdoctoral scholars play in their academic and professional development, the UCSC Graduate Division established the Distinguished Faculty Mentor of Postdoctoral Scholars Award.
UC Santa Cruz Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowships
UC Santa Cruz seeks scholars from all academic fields who show promise for a tenure-track appointment and who will contribute to diversity through their research, teaching, and/or service at the University of California. Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowships are intended to improve diversity and inclusion at UC Santa Cruz, through activities on campus or through outreach.

President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
The University of California President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship offers postdoctoral research fellowships, professional development and faculty mentoring to outstanding scholars in all fields whose research, teaching, and service will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity at UC.
Postdoctoral Fellowship Cohort Program
The Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Universities (HSRU) has announced a new Postdoctoral Fellowship Cohort Program. The HSRU is made up of 22 research universities that are also designated as Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and the fellowship is intended to provide opportunities for postdocs at participating HSRU institutions. In addition to helping program participants prepare for tenure-track positions, the program will help fellows consider the challenges faced by students and faculty at research-intensive Hispanic-Serving Institutions and prepare for a career working with underrepresented students. Fellows will have an opportunity to visit another university in the HSRU.
